The man is looking for gold in the Klondike river or in Rabbit Creek, Yukon, later known as Bonanza Creek, during the Klondike Gold Rush of 1897.

Well, the drawing is far from perfect. Nevertheless, I put it on my web site, because it is the very first picture I have drawn with black ink. Inspiration came from my extraordinary trip to the Yukon, Canada. Yes, I have been to Whitehorse, and yes, I have spent a week or so in Dawson. Someday, I will go back there: People were  so friendly, landscapes were beautiful.

As soon as I can, I put some pictures of my 2002 trip to the Yukon.
